Hmm, haven't thought about it...  that depends on how similar google chrome's api is to firefox.  There is a lot of work in converting library calls, especially if the implementation is drastically different.

I'll take a look at google chrome and see how feasible it is.

Google chrome is using a different approach by adding "js" to actual website. So it will be "hell of a work" to implement IHG to Chrome if you ask me, as it will need its own window running in not firefox's chrome environment but in fact it should act as a "popup window" simply.
I've tested Firebug addon and I can say I am not satisfied as Firefox's Firebug.
So just to grab images I'd still continue with IHG ")

Yes, please port IHG to Chrome!  Chrome is so much faster than Firefox, and, according to a report I read recently, is the fastest growing browser, in terms of market share (#3 overall after IE and FF).  Thanks!

Well, so far I have not noticed any difference in speed.  Perhaps on a smaller processor I would...  perhaps it is all the extensions in firefox that slow it down???  Or perhaps it is the fact that it has such a versatile cross-platform component object model.  I don't know *shrugs*

Anyway, If someone can muster up some documentation on google chrome extension development, that would help me alot in making a determination on whether or not it's a hassle.

There's a web page that's a repository of all the Chrome extensions developers info.  It's:

http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/overview.html

Thanks.

Right now Chrome sucks. Chrome's versions for Linux and Mac are just beta versions.

And take a look at the wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Chrome
"Chrome sends details about its usage to Google through both optional and non-optional user tracking mechanisms"

Still haven't had the chance to look at chrome.  I don't know how much energy I have to do a complete re-write.  :-/

The chrome's faster javascript engine would make operation in IHG faster (i m not a dev, just guessing). With FF 4 the speeds will be pretty much on the same level and as matt says with our powerful computers there isnt any difference. So i believe this addon should be the main focus to become the best as ff envolves.. And if a chrome extension dev wants to make a port i believe all in this site will be cool with that.
