A quick question to the dudes here. I am a big fan of imagehost grabber. Don’t use it much frequently but when I use it I am amazed by the simplicity and the effectiveness of the software.The function I like the most is the ‘suck the current thread’ which saves us hell lot of time... However I was wondering if imagehostgrabber can be used to download pics that have been embedded in the thread. For eg. this thread http://www.exbii.com/showthread.php?t=328957 (nudity warning) has both linked images as well as embedded images but mostly embedded.i.e. the poster uses some code to embed the original image in the posts rather than posting thumbnails which link back to the original bigger sized image at the imagehost Is it possible to use imagehost grabber on that thread? |

I read the host file editor pdf.I did try to write the code on my own but search pattern was very tricky to understand.

Ok, I added a rule for picscrazy.com. Update your host file. You will be able to download the linked images.
I think I know how to get the embedded images, but I have to test the code before uploading it.

The version I uploaded has a bad behavior with some hosts. I recommend you to reinstall the original version when you finish downloading the embedded pics you want from picscrazy.

Hey web surfer just a little feedback on your new version...
It works great on posts where images are embedded but when i use it on threads like the one i mentioned in my second post it downloads the linked image as well the embedded image
It inexplicably downloads a image twice...
Not a big deal really...
I solved the problem by changing the option in 'What to do if file exists in target location' from rename file to skip file...
Anyway thanks again...i am using it a lot over there...Which hosts gave you problems??I don't use it much besides the usual famous ones like imagevenue, etc etc, so i think I'll be okay...

It downloads the image twice because of the "quote" posts (it's a problem of the original version).
I think my version can download thumbnails too (on some hosts only). That's the problem I found.

I am amazed at the progress you have made. I would like to take your modifications and implement them in the main program. I've been meaning to get around to adding this but I have been side-tracked by getting my extension approved for public nomination at Firefox's main extension library.
By the way, you can post attachments upto 1MB. Feel free to use my server to post these updates instead of rapid(suck)share.

Ever since i updated my Firefox to 3.6 i haven't been able to use the modified 'ihg' that web_surfer so kindly made for me in this thread.Now i am not able to download embedded images with IHG 1.6.3.
I am a big user to exbii and picscrazy and most users there embed images in threads.
Can you help me in some way?Everything you might want to know about exbii/picscrazy i've explained in my previous posts in this threads..
